The neighborhood is conveniently located on the eastern side of the Charleston Harbor and it overlooks the Charleston Historic District.

It is minutes away from downtown Charleston where residents can enjoy museums, theatres, shopping complexes and exquisite restaurants. Moreover, they can also enjoy walking, jogging or biking across the Pitt Street Bridge. The Old Village offers numerous amenities such as community parks, shops, beautiful beaches, churches and gathering spaces.

The Mount Pleasant Shem Creek area is within walking distance offering waterfront shopping facilities and restaurants. The area has a high ranking public school system that includes the Mt Pleasant Academy, Moultrie Middle School and the acclaimed Wando High School. Several hotel facilities are available such as the Old Village Inn and Old Village Post house; a bed and breakfast with a restaurant.

The Pitt Street Pharmacy and the new East Cooper Hospital offer the residents of Old Village with adequate medical facilities. With its close proximity to Mt Pleasant Memorial Water Park, Sullivan’s Island and Remley’s Point Public Boat Ramp, it is no wonder why this quaint neighborhood is highly coveted.
